What is Dagu?
Dagu is a self-contained, single-binary workflow orchestration engine. Workflows are defined as DAGs (Directed Acyclic Graphs) in simple YAML files. It requires no external databases, no message brokers, and no complex infrastructure — everything runs locally out of the box.
Our Mission
We believe workflow orchestration should be simple and accessible to everyone. Whether you're automating data pipelines, CI/CD processes, or system maintenance tasks, Dagu lets you define, run, and monitor workflows without the overhead of heavyweight platforms.
License Key
Dagu is and always will be open source. A license key unlocks enterprise features such as audit logging and role-based access control (RBAC). Purchasing a license key also directly supports the long-term sustainability of the project — keeping Dagu maintained, improved, and free for everyone.
Dagu Pro
Dagu Pro provides account management, license management, and billing for license holders. We are also building a fully managed VM offering — join the waitlist to be notified when it becomes available.

About the Creator
Dagu is created and maintained by Yota Hamada, a software engineer based in Tokyo with 20 years in the IT industry — delivering system development across diverse environments from major enterprises to startups. Drawing on his experience at system integrators, he is focused on solving the challenges of maintaining and operating legacy software with AI. That motivation led him to build Dagu: bringing AI into enterprise software development and operations. He is a Go enthusiast who believes in the power of simple software.
